Welcome to Sir Richard Branson’s new home and private island, Necker Island, which is in the British Virgin Islands. The private island, which is often thought of as the height of luxury, is the perfect place to enjoy a beach vacation with a focus on sustainability.
Necker Island is back and better than ever, with a focus on sustainability. It has been closed for over two years to heal from the damage caused by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Necker Island is once again at the top of travel enthusiasts’ wish lists because it offers rooms that are the height of luxury, views that can’t be beat, and complete privacy.
A new Great House and Bali Lo Complex are part of the brand-new Necker experience that guests can enjoy. After being fixed up, the Great House got two more rooms, making a total of eleven guest rooms. The rooms in the Great House are very large and have a balcony with a view of the Caribbean. Each room also has a king-sized bed and a bathroom right next to it. The bunk room in the Great House makes it easy for families to stay there. It can fit up to six kids. This is a two-story Balinese house. The living room is on the ground floor, and the bedroom is on the first floor above it. This complex, along with the Bali Kukila and the Bali Buah that are right next door, was all built in the traditional Balinese style and is good for a couple. Leha Lo is also available on its own. It’s just a short walk from the Great House and sits high above the rocks, offering views of the sea in every direction.
For some guests, just being alone in their room and enjoying the stunning views may be enough. Necker Island is in the Caribbean, which is nice, but it has a lot more to offer. This lodge has so many fun things to do that you can have an adventure-filled time. One can do many things, such as sailing, scuba diving, yoga, sports, spa treatments, and more. Off-site excursions can be set up for either a full or half-day trip for travelers who like to take risks.
Necker Island is more than just a fancy place to go on vacation with beautiful views and lots of things to do. Since it reopened, the island is more dedicated than ever to being environmentally friendly. The island runs on 90% renewable energy every day thanks to its 1,232 solar panels and three wind turbines.
Necker Island is part of the Pack for a Purpose initiative, which is in line with Sir Richard Branson’s charitable work across the Virgin Limited Edition portfolio. This project asks visitors to save some space in their bags and bring supplies for needy schools or medical clinics in the area. Because of Necker Island’s help, area schools have grown very quickly, giving students more room and resources.
While Necker is usually only open for buyouts, there are a few weeks a year when the island is open for “Celebration Weeks,” when people can book a 7-night stay in a single room.
The main jewel of the British Virgin Islands has long been Necker Island. But soon, a new island called Moskito Island will be revealed to the public. On a 125-acre private island just two miles from sister island Necker, Moskito will offer guests much more than a typical villa rental. They will be able to stay in high-end, privately owned estates on a beautiful Caribbean island.
Ten separate luxury homes will be built on the island. Newly available for rent is the 11-bedroom Branson Estate, which is a great example of the pillar of excellence. This year, new estates will become available for rent, each one designed differently and uniquely. Along with the estates is a shared leisure area where guests can enjoy the Beach House, the infinity pool with bar, the tennis pavilion, the dining pavilions, and the water sports center. There is a beach called Manchioneel on the other side of the island from the Branson Estate. It has beautiful water, lounge-style cabanas, and a private eating area.
The British Virgin Islands have kept COVID-19 cases at an all-time low thanks to strict safety measures put in place by the BVI government. The staff at both properties has new COVID-19 training and is very familiar with government rules. They also make sure they are always one step ahead to make sure the safety of their guests and staff is a top concern.
